I wanted to create a sandwich similar to what Arby’s sells. So, went to looking for one of the “secret copycat restaurant” recipes. But I came across Homemade Arby’s Roast Beef Sandwich.
I went to store, and picked up the items:
Regular hamburger buns ~ sesame seeds really don’t matter that much to me.
Roast Beef Slices ~ Land O Frost Premium
(I already had cheese & fries at home)
Heated oven to 450 degrees. While it was heating, I prepared the sandwiches.
Piece of foil, with open bun in the center. Add in the amount of roast beef (4-6 pieces). Place piece of cheese on top … if desired. Place bun together, and wrap with foil (shiny side in).
We baked these sandwiches for 12-15 minutes Because the meat wasn’t warm enough, even though the cheese had already melted.
My son & I did NOT like the taste of the sandwiches. My husband enjoyed his roast beef & cheese sandwiches.
I don’t like cheese on my roast beef. So, I made mine without the cheese. The top bun was nice & toasted, but the bottom one was wet. (yucky)
I think that next time I will look for a different recipe to create that Arby’s Roast Beef Sandwich … hope I find one soon.
I guess it never helps being picky about taste. Sadly, I have found I have picky taste buds.
