I am NOT Satan’s SPAWN

I am ready to pull my freaking hair out. BECAUSE no matter how NICE or POLITE I try to be, I always end up with “You are mad at us, aren’t you?”
I am pleasant. I have NOT yelled or used rude language. I EVEN completely EXPLAIN why I have been in touch. But every time I get that “mad” bull and then have to listen while someone who is UPSET fusses and throws a fit.
Last time I checked, as a PARENT, you should always DOUBLE check what is told to you. That way there is NO misunderstandings. Which in this case, there was a MISUNDERSTANDING.

When my oldest gave me some info, he did not have it exactly correct. So, it was a good thing that I did CHECK to make sure it was correct. Instead of being mature, I ended up dealing with two people who seem to be out to make me look like Satan’s SPAWN or some other freaked out DEMON.
No I am not “mad” over this, I simply disappointed in the immature behavior of adults. It really just saddens me.

I have been sick for over a week. Just got into see my new dr last week. PLUS my granddaughter has been sick, she passed it to me (awww so sweet right?). So, on one of the days I was feeling some what decent, I tried to figure out what was going on. I texted one of the people because I was not feeling up to talking to anyone. I was still coughing & did not have the energy to hold any type of conversation.
Straight up direct question, no bitchiness or demon-waves in the message. Then I get a call from an angry person because I guess for some reason “I was mad.” Now, I had texted & EVEN called the person who thought I was upset. I left the person a voice mail letting her know I was NOT upset, angry, mad … I was just double checking.
I was running a fever. Coming down with chills. I could not keep food in my system. Why on earth would I be “mad” when I simply wanted to DOUBLE check what I was told by my son? (cause there was some miscommunication in what my son told me … and I even double checked it with my son)

So to clear matters up with the world … I am not Satan’s SPAWN, some freaked out DEMON, or out to make ANYONES life miserable. I am simply a MOTHER who has the intelligence to DOUBLE check what is told to her!

Outside fun …

Giggling, and enjoying swinging

Athenah LOVES to be outside. Going for walks with us in the evening, playing with all her toys outback, and going to the park. She just loves it, and in those times, you can simply enjoy the simple things that just makes people happy. After all, we were once those children playing and enjoying life.

Just enjoying a walk

I think the most fun we have is when she is at the playground or with the toys in our back yard. She is so active, and enjoys the time outside.

All I can say, is that she keeps all of us busy. From her Uncles, to Pa and MeMa … and always has us with smiles, laughing & simply enjoying how much fun the simplest and silliest things can be.

Add Music, and it still makes it fun

I think the vids and pictures pretty much sum it up! But what you should really keep in mind, is how much fun they have … and sometimes it’s a good idea for adults to relax a little and find that fun time in themselves.

A simple smile

Even during really bad days, sometimes that is all it takes …. to see my boys smile or my grand daughter smile.

My heart broke

9/6/10

Today (Friday Sept 3, 2010)  I watched as my heart broke. A sweet baby girl, who smiled, loved to snuggle on your chest, and loved to play, was buried. She was only 4 months old, and didn’t get the full life that we all expect. I was the last person to leave.  And unfortunately, I saw as they placed her into the ground. Something you should never have to see or want to. Somewhere a child should never be placed.

The mother told Athenah Rea to stay away from those who got sick. And that we should enjoy ever minute with her because you never know if she will be here that long. She also apologized to Athenah Rea because her playmate wouldn’t be able to keep the play dates they had planned (Ashtyn’s mom & Athenah’s mom). It was hard to watch her tell a soon to be 3 week old all of this, tears in our eyes.
Taking my grand daughter was the worst thing I could have done. I felt so stupid when I realized that bring her would cause more grief. Plus it’s hard on that family because Athenah Rea is here, and their, Ashtyn Christe,  is not. Yes it sounds a bit selfish but they don’t hate her, its just hard to see another baby. So Uncle David & Aunt Emily saw her for short time, they will prob see her later this week … If their hearts can take it.

I despise the fact that parents had to bury their child. It is so hard to hear about, but to see it … it tears your heart out.

That was my view that day. But today I still cannot believe that beautiful baby girl is gone. She use to come over there &  smile all the time. She loved swinging and tummy time. She loved snuggling, and being talked to.
The last time I was able to see Ashtyn was when Athenah was in the hospital. I was so busy since Kim & Athenah Rea got out. You always think you have all the time in the world … and then you find out you don’t. It is devastating.
When I saw Emily & David this past weekend, I was honest. I told them I 1/2 expected to see Ashtyn when I walk in the door. My heart broke even more, because it is understanding she is gone.
But when I think of Ashtyn I don’t think of the negative, she was always smiling and giggling. When she was upset you knew it, but she calmed really quick. She loved swing, and being held. But most of all is how she touched all of our lives, in so many different ways. So instead of the negative, I think of the positive and know she made a positive effect on all our lives.
